27 November 2024 (Hong Kong SAR): Capturing the essence of a seasoned adventurer in pursuit of rare encounters and extraordinary experiences, Qura Bar at Regent Hong Kong is launching a curated collection of Sublime cocktails – each a sensory experience designed to take your imagination and taste buds beyond the cocktail glass.
The culinary odyssey continues to the Riviera with a new menu inspired by the fresh produce and seafood that defines the French and Italian coastlines. In addition, the new Bar Bites menu is an exploration of global tastes designed to complement Qura’s curated cocktails, fine wines and rare spirits, as guests savour majestic vistas of Victoria Harbour and Hong Kong Island where skyscrapers soar amidst the mountainous terrain.

Inspired by The Curator’s global quest for the extraordinary, unique and rare, the Sublime cocktail collection showcases the innovation and creativity of each member of the Qura Bar team, a new generation of creatives whose imagination knows no bounds. With each Sublime cocktail, the Curator’s legacy and vision for hospitality comes to life through music, colours, shapes and unique perspectives.
Gennaro Pucci, Qura’s Bar Manager, shares, “Our goal is to surprise and delight guests with our Sublime cocktails. For example, for Kismet, we chose Edamame and Pineapple, as the key ingredients. What an unlikely and unexpected combination! But they complement each other.”
“For the Chromatic Cascade cocktail, we freeze the mezcal with the peanut butter for one night in a process called fat washing. Basically, the freezing temperature allows the fat to infuse, however the liquid at the same time doesn't take the colour of the fat, which is amazing. To garnish the Framed Emotions cocktail, we create a rectangular frame of isomalt on top with lime, lemon and raspberry powder, which reflects the harbourview. Each artisanal cocktail in our Sublime collection has a very special and homemade aspect, that is the result of a great deal of thought and processes in order to create something unique.”

Qura Bar’s intimate dining room overlooking Victoria Harbour will showcase a thoughtfully curated menu of exquisite dishes inspired by The Riviera. Developed by Regent Hong Kong’s Culinary Director Ciro Petrone, who hails from Napoli, the carefully crafted dishes feature the finest seasonal ingredients, fresh produce and iconic recipes and influences from the scenic coastal areas of southern France and northern Italy – famous for its beauty, mild subtropical climate and exceptional cuisine.
Designed for sharing, the contemporary dishes are inspired by the relaxed Riviera lifestyle. Guests can savour the flavours of the Riviera at Qura Bar, overlooking Victoria Harbour and feel as if they are transported from Hong Kong’s iconic coastline to the breathtaking beauty of the Mediterranean coast.
The Riviera menu showcases the exquisite umami flavours of the sea with standout selections, including Fresh Uni in Shell and Red Tuna Carpaccio. It features artistic starters, among them the vibrant Purple Artichoke Salad and the delightful Tomato Tart à La Provençal. For the main course, guests can savour Roasted Potato Gnocchi, Veal Loin Milanese, Pan-Seared Line-Caught Seabass, and Fritto Misto.
Riviera inspired desserts by Executive Pastry Chef Andy Yeung range a flaky Pecan Mille-Feuille with pecan praline, caramel and truffle ice cream, to Rub Baba with orange segments, Madagascar Vanilla Chantilly.
New Bar Bites –
A Discovery of Global Flavours
To enhance the Qura Bar cocktail experience, the Curator has assembled a unique array of flavours for the new bar bites menu reflecting inspirations from his global travels. Co-created by Ciro Petrone, Regent Hong Kong’s Culinary Director and Chef Rajiv Chowdhoory, Head Chef, Qura Bar & The Lobby Lounge, the Bar Bites Menu is designed to elevate the cocktail experience with innovative culinary craftsmanship, an array of international flavours and easy to eat, modern dishes.
For an international experience using premium, fresh ingredients, the menu incorporates elements from Europe, Korea, France, Italy, and Spain. Made with premium, fresh ingredients, including Sustainable Prawns from New Caledonia, Fassona Beef from Italy and Mediterranean Tuna from Spain, each dish is presented with a delicate touch, balancing textures and flavours — sweet, sour, crisp, and tender.
To elevate the dining experience, our chefs focus on homemade craftsmanship – preparing each element of each dish from scratch. For example, the Fassona Beef Tartare Cone paired with Parmesan Cheese and Salsa Verde features a pastry cone made in-house. There is also a focus on creating authentic flavours.
Ciro Petrone, Regent Hong Kong’s Culinary Director shares his inspiration for the Stuffed Fried Chicken Wings with Chorizo Rice and Sweet & Spicy Chili Sauce. “Having worked in Korea, I have experienced some of the best flavours, particularly with this French-style chicken. My wife is Korean, which enhances my appreciation for these flavours. Additionally, we offer Squid Tempura with Kimchi Sauce for a delightful pairing.”
Ideal for sharing, these smaller, finger sized portions are designed to complement Qura’s cocktails and wine selections, with something for everyone, from seafood and meat, raw and cooked dishes to Asian flavours and reinvented European classics, creating an unmissable part of the guest experience at Qura Bar.
